Ron Jones has been camping on wheels since 1962 when he purchased a small tent-trailer and immediately spent two weeks in the Great Smokey Mountains National Park. Through the years, Ron and Sandy have owned pick-up campers, Type C, Type B (homemade), and Type A coaches, plus has camped in tents, tent trailers, and travel trailers. He and Sandy (spouse) are fulltimers and are on the move quite a bit in their 42-foot diesel pusher. They average approximately 30,000 miles a year while fulltiming.

Ron is known as “Dr. J” on various RV e-mail groups. He frequently posts suggestions, offers help, and shares new ideas with members.

Ron is retired (a lot)! He is retired Army (medical, 1970) and retired Senior Professor in Engineering Technology at the University of North Texas. Both he and Sandy are retired publishers (RonJon Publishing, Inc.). Sandy retired after teaching thirty-one years of high school physics, chemistry, and math."

Ron and Sandy enjoy traveling, cooking, and eating.
