
Ron Jones has been camping on wheels since 1962 when he purchased
a small tent-trailer and immediately spent two weeks in the Great
Smokey Mountains National Park. Through the years, Ron and Sandy
have owned pick-up campers, Type C, Type B (homemade), and Type
A coaches,
plus has camped in tents, tent trailers, and travel trailers. He
and Sandy (spouse) are fulltimers and are on the move quite a bit
in
their 42-foot diesel pusher. They average approximately 30,000
miles a year while fulltiming.
Ron is known as “Dr. J” on various RV e-mail groups.
He frequently posts suggestions, offers help, and shares new ideas
with members.
Ron is retired (a lot)! He is retired Army (medical, 1970) and
retired Senior Professor in Engineering Technology at the University
of North Texas. Both he and Sandy are retired publishers (RonJon
Publishing, Inc.). Sandy retired after teaching thirty-one years
of high school physics, chemistry, and math."
Ron and Sandy enjoy traveling, cooking, and
eating.
